Latest Updates from Our Project:

Which movie should I base the next pin designs on?
about 1 year ago – Tue, Feb 04, 2025 at 03:46:26 PM

I know I posted just a few hours ago. But I realized that there are only nine days left to this campaign. I plan to add another pin at the stretch goal of $2,000 and another at $2,500. But I want your feedback on which movies should inspire me. I love them all, but I'm having a hard time choosing.

Only A Few Dollars away from the Stretch Goal for The Thing!
about 1 year ago – Tue, Feb 04, 2025 at 12:01:00 PM

I've been promising you a look at the concept sketch for "The Thing," and here it is. I've drawn five different designs for this pin. At first, I had the leg tips coming together. That is because there wasn't a background, and I needed to give the pin some stability. I also had to close gaps between the legs because too many holes would increase the production costs. But then I got the idea of putting it on a background. That simple change allowed me to open up the legs and give them a skittering feel. Then, a friend suggested that there would be fire blazing at it from the back. I loved that idea and now I think I've got the color comp to a place where I can start doing the vector art. This pin will be two inches wide instead of two inches tall. It will still have two studs on the back. I'm confident this pin will be added to the official line up as the stretch goal of $1,500 is only a few dollars away.

In the next update, I'll post a poll to so you all can vote and determine which Classic 80's Horror Movie will be honored at the next stretch goal of $2,000.

Early Bird Add-Ons and Pocketopia!
about 1 year ago – Thu, Jan 30, 2025 at 09:57:50 AM

I've got some exciting news for those of you who chose the Early Bird award levels! I've discovered that BackerKit lets me offer the Early Bird discount on add-ons. That means if you initially selected just one pin and now want to add another, you can do so and still get the Early Bird savings! This will happen automatically when you choose to add another pin.

I'm also hard at work on the next pin design—it'll be the spider head from The Thing. I planned to dive into it yesterday, but got a bit sidetracked preparing for Pockettopia, which is all about tabletop games. But don't worry, it's coming soon!
Speaking of which, here's the link to my teaser page for Anime Bingo, the game I'm promoting for Pocketopia. A while back, I created Horror Movie Bingo, which is available as an add-on for this campaign. Anime Bingo was the next natural step, and I'm so excited to share it with you!

Thank you all for helping me reach the campaign goal and the first stretch goal. And to do it so quickly! Your support means everything to me.

By the way, if you want to snag a copy of Horror Movie Bingo, you can get it through this campaign at the Pre-2025 price. Production costs have gone up, so after the campaign, the price will increase. Don't miss out on this super deal—grab yours now!

First Strech Goal Reached!
about 1 year ago – Mon, Jan 27, 2025 at 09:58:36 PM

$1,200 was our first stretch goal and we reached it over the weekend. I wanted to show you the final artwork for the pin before I made the announcement.
Our next stretch goal is $1,500. When we reach it, I will add another design I have in the works. This time, it's the spider head from "The Thing." I want to get the template sketch to a better stage before I show it to you. So, there will be another update shortly.

Thank you for making these pins happen!

Guess what just arrived?
about 1 year ago – Fri, Jan 24, 2025 at 05:02:58 PM

I didn't mean to do two updates in one day, but guess what showed up on the porch just now? The first three pins.

Here's a link to the unboxing video!

I ordered 100 of each pin. These will be going out to the folks who were the first to place orders. No doubt I will have to order more, but I wanted to go into production as quickly as possible.

So shiny!
